It has been a while since I wrote on my blog. Actually – half a decade nearly. Too long. This will change. Much have happened, yet the cloud industry is still growing – now on a mature level. We have crossed the chasm – but we did not reach the plateau of productivity just yet.

Working with online e-commerce and intranets, we often discuss with customers how to design the optimal UI and UX experience. The HTML 4 frameworks enable any developer to solve this design with overlay windows and guided experience.

When you design please take the following approach:

• Any action need to be a maximum 3 clicks away.
• Use contextual behaviour, i.e. hide actions not applicable.
